The Foundry | Home

Graduate entry opportunities in PR and communications are fiercely competitive, whether you choose a PR consultancy or an inhouse communications department.

The Foundry works for some of the most reputable consultancies as well as large and small companies, helping them hire the brightest graduates who demonstrate a genuine commitment to a career in communications.

Entry criteria are tough. You will need to impress with your knowledge of the industry, be ready to convince potential employers that you have the skills and aptitude demanded, and above all, show real evidence of your enthusiasm, ambition and determination.

If you've ticked all the boxes so far, this is where The Foundry comes in. As well as introducing you to clever companies, we can also offer advice and insight based on over 20 years in the industry, to ensure you make the right choice.

You'll need a degree (2.1 or above) from a top university, preferably in English, Classics, History, Law or PR. And, in order to apply, we'd like to invite you to submit your CV together with a covering letter in which you answer the following questions:

  1. Why do you want a career in PR?
  2. What PR sector are you interested in and why?
  3. Provide a brief outline of relevant work experience and activities to support your interest in PR.
  4. Provide details of any additional relevant skills, e.g. Media disk, IT skills (outside of the standard IT packages), languages etc.
  5. What interests do you have outside work?
  6. Finally, what differentiates you from other graduates interested in a career in PR?
