This well-known and respected global agency’s London hub is looking to hire a Board Director to head up and continue to grow its Corporate Practice. With a small and talented team already in place to support you, you’ll provide a comprehensive range of corporate communications solutions to a diverse portfolio of issues-rich clients, from food and retail to telecommunications. The role is very much about consolidation and growth, so you’ll need proven new business skills together with the passion, drive and confidence to put them to good use. Building the business will be fundamental to your approach, at least in the short-term. Beyond this, you’ll bring leadership and the ability to really integrate across large global strands. What’s more, you’ll be adept at shaping strategy, particularly involving crisis and issues management, but also broadly across thought leadership and reputation management. Our client - a leading global public relations consultancy and a leading light in its field - is looking for a superb, established Associate Director or Senior Associate Director to join its already stellar cast of industry heavyweights within this fantastic Financial and Professional Services (FPS) team.
You’ll report into the team’s MD, who is an engaging, impressive leader and a talented mentor to a team of more than twenty-five. You’ll join the team’s senior ranks alongside four others, each of whom leads a handful of talented sub-teams. Together, the team shares a deep understanding of its marketplace, covering a wealth of communications disciplines, from consumer campaigning, through to corporate and crisis communications, public and regulatory affairs, B2B outreach and integrated digital work. It most certainly deserves its title as one of the best and most successful FPS communications teams out there.
In terms of expertise, you could be a public affairs, regulatory affairs or policy practitioner with deep-rooted connections across parliamentary and treasury circles. But you might equally have strategic corporate communications as your core, having cut your teeth in agency (ideally at another big name). If you are a natural business builder, enjoy managing and mentoring teams of talented, energetic individuals and delivering first-rate client service to some really big names, this could be the role for you.

Work around life-threatening diseases will be pivotal to this role so experience within this area would be of great interest to the team. In addition to your specialist or more generalist ethical experience, you’ll have all the skills expected of a senior-level practitioner: exceptional client handling skills, a mind that sees opportunity rather than restriction in the regulations that support this sector, and the strategic nous needed to deliver stand-out communications programmes.
You’ll be no stranger to the hustle and bustle of agency life and you’ll enjoy leading a team of bright and driven healthcare PR specialists. You’ll have a keen eye for new business opportunities and enjoy operating at senior level in collaboration with the Head of Practice.
